Looking forward to 2016!

2016 is going to be a big year for me gaming wise. List of games I am most looking forward to. I will be highlighting each one for the next few days. Here is a list for now. For Honor = Sword wielding version of Call of Duty. Final Fantasy 15 = Beautiful and I think the story is going to resonate  Titanfall 2 = Now I will actually get to play with Mechs now that it will be on PS4 Mass Effect Andromeda = Most excited for this actually. Bioware is the best IMHO The Division = Open world third person tactical shooter? Yes please Cyberpunk 2077 = I know so little about it but it looks promising. This may leave the list in the future.  X-Com 2 = I love the way the series is going.  Those are the ones I am most excited for. Like I said I will spotlight them more in the coming days.

SWTOR! Big changes.

Eight Class Stories to explore     So recently The team leading STWOR development took the game in a new direction. A direction maybe terrible for Hardcore MMO fans, however wonderful for Bioware single player game fans. Or even casual MMO fans.  They changed the exp system in game. So now all you have to do is the main class stories and one other set of quests to progress the story and stay adequately leveled. Meaning Class story and one of the quest trains: Side quests, Exploration quests, Planet Arc quests, or Heroics. Used to you would have to do almost all of those for each planet f you were a free to play player and maybe half if you were a subscriber. Now regardless if you are F2P or a subber you get enough exp that you can actually play the story at a pace similar to normal Bioware games.       On top of that they made companions significantly more powerful. Not just that they took away items stats for them. So now Items for compa...

Fallout 4!

Of course it has its flaws. A lot of people are very angry about frame rates and poor animations. Could Bethesda update their engine? Probably. WHAT A GAME!!!! It is the best of Fallout and Skyrim. It is gorgeous. The combat is fun. The conversation system was changed. A lot of people don't like the new system but I love it. Plus your guy is now fully voiced for the first time in a Bethesda game. I will be sinking a ton of time into this game. I am to new into it to really break it down so I will come back and revisit this article. For now know that the game is well worth the buy!!!

Witcher 3 and RPG's

To play the perfect RPG! So bit of back story on what I want and what I like. Skyrim is one of my favorite all time RPG's. Fallout 3 being a very close second. Skyrim edging it out because of the fantasy setting. So with that in mind I will run through a list of things Skyrim does better and a list of things Witcher 3 does better. If you combined them you would have the best RPG ever!   Fully customizable hero. You are the the person you are playing. Complete roleplay. Here is the big part no only controlling how he or she looks but how they play. Bow/Arrow, Sneak, Two Hander, Dual Wield, Magic, Sword and board. Better yet a combination of any of those. I want to put my self in my heroes shoes when I play. One play-through I might want to be a fast arrow slinging ranger. The next I might want to be a legendary mage with knowledge of the cosmos. It was this freedom that made Skyrim great. It is the biggest thing lacking to me in the Witcher. Hundreds of hours of the same slashes w...

SWTOR

Lately I have jumped back into SWTOR. I am playing it F2P. So some limitations are placed on my gameplay. I can't take off my helmet or display titles. But the whole story is available for free. leveling is is all there. Though I am close to level 20 and their is a exp drop off after that level for F2P.           The story is really well done. The quests are fun and I love the Bioware system for story telling. Bioware games are always my favorite games and it makes sense it is my favorite MMO. I have been having a whole lot of fun. The moral choices are done really well.                Here are the top 5 reasons I love SWTOR: 1. Story! Not just how it is written but the way it is delivered. Every quest resonates and is unique. The main arcs are not only written well but acted and voiced well. You really feel immersed. 2. Se...

Gaming in 2014!

Gaming in 2014 for me was dreadful. It seemed every game I got was rushed unfinished buggy cash grab. For every masterpiece I played I also played 5 steaming piles of garbage. The real problem is most of them came from companies I trusted and had bought many games from in them in the  past. So for me going in thinking I had just paid good money for a sure hit then being completely enraged an the broken wrecks I had to play really frustrated me.      If it wasn't for games like Banner Saga, Transistor and Dragon Age this year would have been a complete bust. As it stands now I won't ever buy a game on launch and i will never pre order. DLC's and any day one extra garbage will never see my money. I will only play the games as they are already polished and patched and ready as they should have been on day one. Also I know to temper my hype. To many times I was a rider on the hype train for various games. For instance I joined a community and formed a v...

Greatness of GW2 is not just in the Gameplay!

As for content. I won't try to compare it to other MMO's. For one I have come to realize though they are all very similar in a  lot of respects they are still different enough that you like or dislike each one based on personal preferences. IMHO Guild Wars 2 has a lot of good content though. It is well produced has Real vs Real type pvp and your more traditional arena type Pvp. The endgame PvE is there and fleshed out though is a bit different than some other hardcore raid type endgame pve in other MMO's. The leveling experience is one of the more enjoyable in a MMO that I have played. The game itself looks beautiful.         Now where it sets itself apart from other MMO's in my eyes at least is its free to play nature. It delivers all that content without a monthly subscription. Now we have other free to play MMO's on the market but unlike those GW2 does not lock ANY content behind a paywall. The ONL...
